Preparation

  1. Lightly mix the minced meat with salt, pepper and any herbs or spices. Shape into small burgers that are slightly larger than the buns. Make sure to distribute the mixture evenly – take your time with this, as this is where you build up the flavour.

  2. Light the barbecue with the XCelsius BBQ lighter and set it up with a direct cooking zone for grilling. Time to fire up the barbecue. Give it a few minutes to stabilise before you carry on.

  3. Cook the burgers over a high heat on the grill or on a griddle. Do not press them down, so that the juices remain in the meat. Keep an eye on them and turn them only when necessary, so that they brown nicely.

  4. Place the cheese on the burgers as soon as the underside has formed a nice crust. Close the lid briefly to allow the cheese to melt. Arrange everything neatly and then let the barbecue do its job.

  5. Toast the slider buns briefly on the cut side. Assemble the sliders with sauce, burger, cheese and toppings. Keep an eye on them and turn them only when necessary, so that they brown nicely.

  6. Serve immediately while the burgers are still warm and the cheese is still soft. Get everything ready and serve straight away, as this tastes best straight off the barbecue.

  7. Time to sit down to dinner. Serve up the dish, grab a cold drink to go with it, and enjoy – from all of us at XCelsius.
