How to use the XCelsius BBQ gloves

This quick start guide will show you how to use the BBQ gloves step by step, the right way. You’ll see what you need to do, what to look out for, and how to get started safely and quickly.

  1. Please read the user manual

Please read the full instructions for the BBQ gloves. Use this quick start guide as a brief overview alongside the manual. If in doubt, always follow the manual.

Keep this manual for future reference. Do not use the product if any warning or instruction is unclear.

  2. Check the gloves

Check the outside, inside and seams of both gloves. Only use the gloves when they are clean, dry and undamaged.

Do not use the gloves if they are wet, damaged or heavily soiled. This may reduce their heat protection.

  3. Make sure you put your gloves on properly

Slip your hands fully into the gloves. Make sure your fingers are properly positioned and that the gloves fit snugly enough to maintain control.

The gloves are one size fits all. Always check that you have a firm grip before handling a hot part.

  4. Use the gloves for brief contact

Use the gloves for brief contact with hot parts around the BBQ. These include the grill, pan, heat shield, pizza stone or other hot accessories.

The gloves have been tested for contact heat up to 350 degrees Celsius for at least 15 seconds. Do not hold hot parts for longer than necessary.

  5. Handle hot parts with care

Hold the hot part firmly and move it slowly. Then place it immediately on a safe, heat-resistant surface.

While using them, check that you still have a firm grip. Stop immediately if the gloves feel too hot.

  6. Avoid open flames and liquids

Do not use the gloves near open flames or in direct contact with flames. Do not use them in contact with steam, boiling water, hot oil or other hot liquids.

The gloves offer limited protection against flames. They are not designed to protect against radiant heat, convective heat, steam or hot liquids.

  7. Keep children and flammable materials away

Do not allow children to use the gloves. Keep packaging materials, firelighters and other flammable materials away from the barbecue.

Packaging materials can cause suffocation and may be flammable. Always keep them out of the reach of children and away from heat.

  8. Leave the gloves to cool

After use, place the gloves in a safe place. Allow them to cool completely before cleaning or storing them.

Do not place the gloves directly next to a heat source when you have finished.

  9. Clean the gloves and store them in a dry place

Clean the gloves with a soft, damp cloth. Do not wash the gloves. Store them in a dry, clean place, away from heat sources.

Store the gloves at room temperature. This will help prevent damage caused by moisture, heat or dirt.
